Anthony graduated from Cardiff Dental School in 1991. Having received a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh his postgraduate training in restorative dentistry continued as a Registrar at Birmingham and finally as a Senior Registrar at Liverpool Dental Hospital. During this time he specialised in the rehabilitation of oral cancer patients with implant assisted prostheses, presenting at both national and international meetings on the subject. In 2000 he gained his Certificate of Specialist Training in Restorative Dentistry and is also on the specialist lists in prosthodontics and periodontology. In 2001 he was awarded the prestigious Gold Medal in the MRD examination at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and in the following year received an MPhil degree from the University of Liverpool. In 2003, he received a Fellowship in Dental Surgery (ad eundum) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. 

Anthony is currently a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Birmingham Dental Hospital and Clinical Implant Lead. He is also the Regional Lead for the Cleft Lip and Palate service and maintains a specialist referral practice in Birmingham. In 2003 he was appointed as a board member for the International Academy of Oral and Facial Rehabilitation.
