Graduated as a dentist in 1985. He practiced as a general dental practitioner before starting his postgraduate training in Periodontology at the University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and later in London, at Barts where he completed his training in 1995. He is registered as a Specialist in Periodontics with the General Dental Council. He runs a full-time periodontal and implant referral practice in Tunbridge Wells, Kent and in London’s Harley Street, where he works within a multi specialist referral practice. 

He lectures nationally and internationally and is regularly the main speaker at dental postgraduate education meetings in the UK. His main interest is in regenerative and aesthetic periodontics as well as in aesthetic implantology and integration of implant dentistry in periodontally compromised patients.
