Paul has been involved with implant dentistry for more than 20 years and has placed several thousand implants over that period. He lectures both nationally and internationally, and holds senior positions on a number of representative bodies in both the UK and in Europe.

Paul is Chairman of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Advisory Board in Implant Dentistry, President-elect of the European Association of Osseointegration (EAO), a member of the General Dental Council Working Group convened to revise the Implant Training Standards Guidelines for General Dental Practitioners. He is also a Fellow of the International Team for Implantology (ITI), and past President of the Association for Dental Implantology (ADI).

Paul’s main areas of interest lie in implant surgery and reconstruction, as well as education, training and assessment for implant dentistry.
