The general educational aims for this session are as follows:
- To act as an introduction to the world of implantology to the hospital/ community/general practising dentist
- To offer an insight into how implants can be incorporated into daily practice
- Introduction to the ITI, its aims and educational programme
On completion of the requirements for this session the postgraduate should be able to demonstrate the following skills, knowledge & accomplishments:
- An understanding of basic implant design, patient selection and how to access further education
- The importance of the ‘team approach’ to successful implantology
